WALMART GREAT VALUE DISTILLED WATER 1 GALLON INGREDIENTS & LABEL DETAILS:

The Great Value distilled water 1 gallon bottles have an excellent label with detailed information including ingredients, distribution, bottling, sourcing, purification, and more. Check out the details below:

  • INGREDIENTS: Distilled Water
  • DISTRIBUTED BY: Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Bentonville, AR 72716
  • BOTTLED BY: DS Services of America, Inc. Atlanta, GA 30339 NV05763
  • SOURCE: SLC Municipal Water; Salt Lake City, Ut
  • PROCESSED BY: Steam Distillation, Microfiltration, Ozonation

What is the Great Value water source and who distills and bottles it?

The label says to call 1-877-505-2267 for more information. What I really like about Great Value Distilled Water is it always tells you the source of the water used to make the distilled water. Usually it is just tap water (aka municipal water supply) from a local city. Walmart seems to use a local or regional bottled water supplier to make the distilled water. Then it will ship it to Walmart stores in a certain area. For example: On a Great Value label purchased in Fort Worth, Texas the label says "Source: Municipal Supply Fort Worth, TX."

The label also tells you which company actually bottled the water. For example: "Bottled by: Premium Waters, INC. Fort Worth, TX 76177." So here in the DFW (Dallas Fort Worth) area Premium Waters has been contracted to turn the Fort Worth City tap water into distilled water. Then white label the bottles with Walmart's brand and distribute it to our local metro area. Look at your local Walmart stores Great Value label and you will get the same information for your regional water distillation company.

QUALITY, ANALYSIS & PH OF GREAT VALUE DISTILLED WATER

Premium Waters, Inc. provides a detailed water quality report for your Great Value Distilled Water. This link will show you all of the states and cities that Premium Waters produces distilled water for. Just choose the state and city closest to where you live or choose the state and city listed on the label. For example: Fort Worth TX, Great Value Distilled Water Quality Report.
The water quality report states the pH of Great Value Distilled Water is 5.7 and the TDS is ND (none detected). Walmart does an excellent job of making this report easy to find and they are very transparent. Other stores make it extremely difficult to find.

Consumer Reports stated:

"Getting information about the quality of the bottled water you drink is hard. We know because we tried.

There is no single source that maintains a list of these quality reports, which companies must produce for federal inspector or state regulators. The website for the International Bottled Water Association, the industry’s main lobby group, does link to some of them. But many of those links are broken, CR found."

PARENTS CHOICE DISTILLED WATER WALMART WITH 1 GALLON INGREDIENTS & LABEL DETAILS:

The Parents Choice Distilled Water with minerals is different than regular distilled water. The label says "with minerals added for taste." The process of distillation removes all minerals from the water. So that means Parents Choice is adding minerals back into the distilled water. What minerals? Magnesium sulfate, potassium bicarbonate and potassium chloride. The Parents Choice distilled water 1 gallon bottles have more limited label information. They only provide ingredients, distribution and purification. I would like to see more detailed information including bottling and sourcing Check out the details below:

  • INGREDIENTS: Distilled Water, magnesium sulfate, potassium, bicarbonate and potassium chloride
  • DISTRIBUTED BY: Walmart Inc. Bentonville, AR
  • BOTTLED BY: No label information
  • SOURCE: No label information
  • PROCESSED BY: Steam Distillation, Microfiltration, Ozonation
  • USE AS DIRECTED: by a Physician or by labeling directions for use of infant formula

What is the Parents Choice water source and what company distills and bottles it?

The label says to call 1-877-307-2192 or go to https://premiumwaters.com for more information. The label does not have the specific details of which company is purifying and bottling the distilled water nor does it have the water source used to make the distilled water. I wish it did.

PARENTS CHOICE DISTILLED WATER ANALYSIS, QUALITY & PH LEVEL

The good news is that Premium Waters, Inc. provides a detailed water quality report for your Parents Choice Value Distilled Water. Look for the report that says "Distilled Water with Minerals". This link will show you all of the states and cities that Premium Waters produces distilled water for. Just choose the state and city closest to where you live or choose the state and city listed on the label. For example: Fort Worth TX, Parents Choice Distilled Water Quality Report.
The Parents Choice Distilled Water Quality Report states the pH level is 6.9 and the TDS is ND (none detected). Again this report was simple and easy to find.

Where to find distilled water at Walmart?

When you walk into Walmart you may be thinking, "Where to find distilled water at Walmart?" and "Exactly what aisle is distilled water in Walmart?" There are many different Walmart store layouts and sizes it depends on if you are at a Super Walmart, Neighborhood Walmart or regular Walmart store. I called the Walmart Corporate headquarters 1-800-925-6278 (1-800-WALMART) the get more information. They were super nice and helpful, this is what I learned:

I want to save you time by going directly to where the distilled water is. You will find the distilled water in the grocery section of Walmart on aisle A27 and baby section on aisle L12. You can check wallmart.com online and choose a store and then search for "distilled water". It will show you the aisle location of that particular store. There are actually 2 different departments in the store that could have distilled water:

  1. Grocery section on aisle A27. The Great Value distilled water is on the same aisle with all the other kinds of bottled water. It is usually opposite of the Gatorade and Soda Pop.
  2. Baby section on aisle L12. The Parents Choice distilled water is usually near the baby formula, but it may also be on an end cap. Sometimes you will find it as a "double feature" which means it is in two places in the baby section (1) on the end cap and (2) in the aisle.

Can you buy walmart.com distilled water?

Yes, you normally get walmart.com distilled water online. But unfortunately it is sold out because of the the distilled water shortage. I would recommend you keep checking the website to see when it becomes available. Many of the physical stores are also out of stock and have empty shelves. My local store has been completely out of stock for 4 weeks now. I would recommend calling around to several stores and ask them if they have distilled water in-stock before you drive to the store. Don't forget to ask them if it is Great Value (with no minerals added) or Parents Choice (with minerals added). FYI - You DO NOT what to use Parents Choice with minerals added in a CPAP machine. The minerals can build up and damage the machine. If you are using distilled water daily then checkout our home water distiller for cpap !
