Can babies drink distilled water? Can you use distilled water for formula?

Yes! In fact the CDC recommends babies drink distilled water with their formula to prevent "dental fluorosis".

Can you water plants with distilled water? Is distilled water good for houseplants?

Yes, of course you can water plants with distilled water! Distilled water is good for houseplants because it eliminates damaging soil contamination "buildup". Distilled Water is pure water for your plants. In fact distilled water is used for hydroponic gardens, and greenhouse gardening, not just for indoor houseplants. Does distilled water freeze? Does distilled water make clear ice?

Yes, distilled water does freeze but it doesn't look like any other ice you've seen before... it's really cool. The first time I saw a distilled ice cube I was blown away. Once you get your water distiller try this ice cube experiment: Fill up one ice cube tray with tap water and another ice cube tray with distilled water. After they are both frozen, take an ice cube out of each tray and hold it up to the light? The distilled water ice cube will be crystal clear and beautiful. The tap water ice cube will be milky or cloudy (it's pretty crazy when you can SEE what is in your tap water).

Can you use distilled water to make coffee?

Yes, you can use distilled water to make coffee! You maybe thinking "does distilled water make good coffee"? No, it doesn't just make good coffee it makes GREAT coffee! I drain out my boiling chamber once a month. This has made it really easy to drain it because the minerals and scale are softer. It also makes the junk in the boiling chamber not stick to the internal components like they used to before I used Still Sweet. Distiller is easy to clean and maintain.

The Durastill 3040 came packaged better than anything we have ever received! It was easy to put together, although we took our time over two days. The quality and workmanship is impeccable. Additionally, Brandon is very helpful and only a phone call away. I can only say do not hesitate to purchase this excellent unit. Water is life, literally. Without pure water to cleanse our bodies, all manner of toxins can and will build up. Purchase an inexpensive TDS meter and test your own water for dissolved solids. You may be shocked by the results. We are currently manually filling the distiller as we may be moving, but there is no problem or difference in the way it runs. Although our family consists of only two adults and two house cats, we do not feel the unit is too large. My husband and I each drink at least a gallon of water a day, and we use the water for coffee, cooking, watering plants, our pets, and to take along whenever we drive out somewhere. It feels good to know that if the power goes out, we have a reserve of good drinking water. We like the fact that this unit uses a third less electricity than other models we looked at. Even though it is a functional piece, it doesn't look bad, and of course, the benefits of pure water override everything!.
