Born on February 6, 1895, in Fairfax County, Virginia. Bragg became a health expert by teaching physical education at Redondo Union High School in California. After two years, he opened his first establishment on N. 7th street, Los Angeles. To spread awareness about his health program, he wrote weekly public columns. He would name them "Newslets" or sometimes "Health Notes." These columns were a hit among his followers, health experts, and the general public obsessed with fitness.
He would then go on tours around the country to deliver health lectures for free. He would only charge for a private consultation session. In 1929, he successfully published his first book "Cure Yourself," which he promoted through his tours. He has also written on detoxification, dieting, fasting, distilled water, physical culture, etc.
